HKEyes Traffic/香港千里眼

This iPhone app streams traffic CCTV images directly from Data.One provided by the Hong Kong Government.

Thanks to Hong Kong Transport Department for sharing their content online.

This app displays the contents in either Traditional Chinese or English which you may set in the iPhone's Settings screen.

Requirements:
• iPhone and iPodTouch with OS3.0 and above.
• Internet access via WiFi, 3G, EDGE or GPRS.


User Notes:
• By default, this app launch with Chinese language. However, user may switch to English from iPhone's Settings screen.
• When viewing traffic images, always take note of the time stamp of the image to ensure the image is up to date. There may be occasions of CCTV outage and out dated images.
• User may then view the CCTV's GPS location on the map as well as emailing the image to buddy.
• User may add favorite cameras into the Favourite screen
• Several user preferences can be configured in the iPhone Settings screen. This includes the language preference (Chinese/English), colors, sound/vibrate feedback when camera image is retrieved.


Terms and conditions:
• The traffic images and web contents are provided by third party (“Data.One”) and the author do not have control over the quality, accuracy, timeliness and availability of the data. There may be server outage, web content changes or reconfiguration that may disable this app. Therefore, the author is not able to provide any warranty whatsoever.
• The author of this app is independent and not related to the web content owner in anyway.
• The author shall not under any circumstances, be liable for any loss as a result of using this app or it's data.
• User discretion is strictly required when using this app.
• The price paid to download this app from Appstore is for the purchase of this app. Use of the CCTV images is free and there will be no charges for using the data. However, should the owner of Data.One website decided to charge for the usage, this app will be updated accordingly with the usage and pricing policy of the Hong Kong Government.

    Did you know that you can use your iphone on any network worldwide? I just unlocked my iphone 3g and now i can use it on any network , it was really easy , i downloaded some files and fallow the instructions on unlock-iphone.org

  9. Hello, I purchased HKEyes Traffic on 10 April, 2010 from Apple Store, and installed to my iphone. Of course, I know now is "TEMPORARY ON HOLD" for this app. But now how can I re-install this app after my iphone upgraded the firmware? Cause I really paid for purchase this app, not a new user want to buy this app, right? If no schedule to release this app, I feel that is a not fair for me. Please help to reply. Thank you.

    You app is really good, i like it, i bought it at once! But, why always disappear in appstore, when i want to reinstall, i can't find it easily, luckly i have backup the 3.0 version, i have to JB my iphone to reinstall it. Please, don't lose all the time, thanks!
